Battery Release Ordinance

In connection with the sale of batteries and rechargeable batteries or with the delivery of devices that contain batteries or rechargeable batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following in accordance with the Battery Ordinance:

Batteries may not be disposed of with household rubbish. As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries. You can return batteries free of charge after use at the point of sale or in the immediate vicinity (e.g. in municipal collection points or in shops). You can send batteries back to our postal address with sufficient postage.

Batteries that contain harmful substances are marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol, similar to the symbol in the figure. Below the garbage can symbol is the chemical name of the pollutant - "Cd" stands for cadmium. "Pb" for lead and "Hg" for mercury.
